Poor sleep is taking a toll on professional relationships, productivity, public safety and even the most intimate aspects of our lives. The impact of sleep deprivation on society is devastating in both human and economic terms. While it is impossible to calculate the total economic impact of sleep deprivation and untreated sleep disorders accurately, it is believed to be over $100 billion.

“Helping patients overcome obstacles of poor sleep has been life changing for myself and for my staff. Knowing that we are changing the quality of people’s lives by improving their sleep, relationships, and energy levels has been a wonderful experience. My passion in creating and using various public awareness tools has helped further promote OAT as an option to a wide variety of individuals!” Dr. Lydia M. Sosenko, D.D.S., D.ABDSM

Did you visit our booth at the Seven Bridges, Lisle/Naperville/Woodrige, Girls Nite Out Trade Show Event?

We had a wonderful time meeting new people and visiting with friends we’ve met over the years. Did you get a chance to meet Naperville’s own Mrs. Illinois? Dr. Weyneth and Dr. Sosenko both had a few minutes to stop and chat with Mrs. Ilinois about the all the new technology in the dental field. Did you know we offer 1 visit crown and filling restoration? In today’s busy schedules, Sherman Oaks Dental of Naperville is working to meet our patients needs.

Dr. Sosenko and Dr. Weyneth in School?

To help celebrate Dental Health Month, our Doctors went back to school. Dr. Weyneth visited fifth grade classes at Mill Street School in Naperville, Illinois, and went over important tips to keep everyone cavity free for their life. He focused on the amount of sugar found in every day foods. His experiment with sugar in a cup was amazing!! Do you know how many teaspoons of sugar are in 1 serving of Oreos? Fifth graders at Mill Street know!!

Dr. Sosenko did a whirlwind tour at Sts. Peter and Paul School, also in Naperville. She visited 2 second grade classes and 2 kindergarten classes. Her focus, also, was staying cavity free. She found many students have wiggly teeth and they love to show them off. The students were brilliant! They knew plaque is caused by germs and sugars that sit on their teeth and don’t get brushed off. Dr. Sosenko gave them tips to keep that plaque away!

The Doctors truly enjoyed their School Visits and look forward to their next opportunity to give students a chance to meet a dentist that isn’t just looking at their teeth.
