Sleep Labs

Sleep Lab Titration Instructions:

Note: All of our patients have gone through a guided home titration period with us. Some have also had ambulatory sleep monitoring as recommended by the AADSM to further adjust their devices as needed during their home adjustment period to increase positive response during oral appliance therapy.  As a result some patients may not need any further adjustments during their follow-up lab sleep test.
It is important for sleep technicians to know that there are over 40 FDA  approved oral appliances for obstructive sleep apnea! Successful oral appliance therapy lies on the need to choose different devices dependent on several factors which are evaluated by the treating dentist.  Many need parts to adjust his/her device and it is important to remind your patient to bring necessary items for adjustments on the night of their test.  If this is not possible, please call our office as soon as possible so that we may supply you or your patient with necessary items.

Titration Instructions:

(Below for LABS ONLY.   This section IS NOT RECOMMENDED FOR PATIENTS.  Patients see PATIENT RESOURCES.)

If one of our patients has been referred for a follow up polysomnogram you should have received a letter from us as to type of appliance the patient has, and specific instructions as to that patient’s upcoming titration.

If you have not received instructions or you would like to review the patient’s titration procedures at your facility, please review the following.
